After taking down the ball on Brujas KV's corner Harry Styles fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Marco Day quite easily take care of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cassius Byrne in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Inge Marin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zachary Pliszka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Day having to interfere. Inge Marin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cassius Byrne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Óli Manfredi to make the kick off. Jenson Smith made a great header on USA's corner, it was just that Brujas KV's Inge Marin managed to reach the ball for a save. Sam Campbell showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. Koby Fletcher hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. The Brujas KV fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. USA were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
