The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Chiquinho do Nascimento tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raí Nogueira struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Camilo Freixa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MUSHIBA FC. When Mario Fernandino fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bolivia's protests and gave Mario Fernandino a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Bolivia getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Mario Fernandino hit a great ball. The supporters of Bolivia booed when MUSHIBA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gil Meira didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Eduardo Fontirroig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Raí Nogueira to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, MUSHIBA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eduardo Fontirroig came free, but Chiquinho do Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 57 minutes in the game, Alfredo Ferrant fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Chiquinho do Nascimento having to interfere. 59 minutes in the game Joshua Miralles did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Alfonso de la Cruz. Camilo Freixa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raí Nogueira in the 62nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Eduardo Fontirroig managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bolivia's supporters rose to their feet, but Eduardo Fontirroig was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chiquinho do Nascimento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 71st minute, Gil Meira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 74th match minute, Bolivia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Fontirroig to maneuver through the defense.
