Ronaldo Salah's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 7th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 12th minute of play forced HOSATO★★★★★VKRT's goalkeeper Junior Soprano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Juan Sebastián Puig struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Junior Soprano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Adhemar Peixoto ran over to the corner to take the kick. HOSATO★★★★★VKRT's Adhemar Peixoto was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because HOSATO★★★★★VKRT had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
