In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Twierdza Osowiec's goalkeeper Ricardo Hendrickx, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 9 minutes into the match, Kartal Başar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kartal Başar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Twierdza Osowiec's Ricardo Hendrickx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 12th minute of play. Kartal Başar might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rolando Noboa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kartal Başar ran back to his position shaking his head. Ricardo Hendrickx made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luz Tejedor in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Milagros Fraga in the 20th minute of play forced Twierdza Osowiec's goalkeeper Ricardo Hendrickx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kartal Başar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Twierdza Osowiec's zone, Julian Murillo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Hendrickx came out of the goal and Julian Murillo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kevinn Dolar charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kevinn Dolar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 33 played minutes Twierdza Osowiec got a freekick which was hit by Kevinn Dolar. In the 39th minute, Julian Murillo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ricardo Hendrickx was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. 42 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Kartal Başar came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 58th minute of play forced Twierdza Osowiec's goalkeeper Ricardo Hendrickx to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 59 minutes had been played when some careless play by Twierdza Osowiec's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. Alonso Berganza made a great header on Peru's corner, it was just that Twierdza Osowiec's Ricardo Hendrickx managed to reach the ball for a save. Alonso Berganza received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rolando Noboa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kartal Başar went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Jaap Stam kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kartal Başar in the 78th minute of the match. Billy Hendrickx hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Billy Hendrickx kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. 83 minutes into the match, Twierdza Osowiec's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Gallo came free, but Ricardo Hendrickx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Rafael Gallo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ricardo Hendrickx. The goal made the score 3-3. Despite being the better team, Peru failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
