Laurențiu Gaciu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 10th minute of play. 11 minutes into the game, Mădălin Cangeopol was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. 53 minutes into the match, Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s goalkeeper Laurențiu Gaciu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Laurențiu Gaciu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Agustín Saelices in the 60th minute. 67 minutes into the match, Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Luis Andino came free, but Laurențiu Gaciu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s Heintje Gamarra was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The Tractorul Satulung -MM- fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ecuador were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
