The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 17th minute Todd Griffiths shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abelardo Erlantz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abelardo Erlantz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Todd Griffiths, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abelardo Erlantz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marty King's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. Abelardo Erlantz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Phil Naylor in the 38th minute of play. Abelardo Erlantz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Phil Naylor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Todd Griffiths made a kick off. With a little luck, La Vuelta del Malon's Abelardo Erlantz got control of the ball when Phil Naylor tried to sneak it across the goal line. Phil Naylor came free with the goalkeeper in the 55th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Abelardo Erlantz could save by the left post. Phil Naylor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abelardo Erlantz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by 刘旭震 in the 61st minute of play forced Heavenly Hooters's goalkeeper Lennie Rusby to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Nestor Beltza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Heavenly Hooters made a substitution. Pedro Luiz de Moraes replaced Phil Naylor. After 67 played minutes, La Vuelta del Malon's 刘旭震 shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lennie Rusby came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in La Vuelta del Malon reached it. Todd Griffiths who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of Abelardo Erlantz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Beltza in the 74th minute of play forced Heavenly Hooters's goalkeeper Lennie Rusby to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abelardo Erlantz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marty King in the 76th minute. Todd Griffiths's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Abelardo Erlantz firmly grabbed it by the left post. Pedro Luiz de Moraes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Abelardo Erlantz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Nico de Alcântara hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Heavenly Hooters's Adrian Collier was substituted for Richárd Bódog. Heavenly Hooters's Adrian Moss was substituted for Ross Clark. Nico de Alcântara kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Todd Griffiths in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abelardo Erlantz saved La Vuelta del Malon from getting behind. From close distance Todd Griffiths pressed in the 1-1 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 90 minutes into the game. Julio Duarte kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Todd Griffiths in the 96th minute of play forced La Vuelta del Malon's goalkeeper Abelardo Erlantz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The score was 1-1 after 90 minutes, which forced the match into extra-time.

Abelardo Erlantz came out of the goal in the 102nd minute to try and stop a shot by Heavenly Hooters's Pedro Luiz de Moraes. But to his dismay, Pedro Luiz de Moraes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Heavenly Hooters's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
