But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Concetto Mare couldn't finish the play. Zorros del Desierto's Hugo Araya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jardel Cabezon in the 8th minute of play. In the 12th minute Jardel Cabezon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Araya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, EoDu Uai Sôccer's Senen Tartales got a free kick in the 13th minute. Jardel Cabezon hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. With a little luck, EoDu Uai Sôccer's José-Luis Chilavert got control of the ball when Concetto Mare tried to sneak it across the goal line. Javier Rufo charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Javier Rufo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 26 minutes into the match, Zorros del Desierto's goal looked a bit too open when Jardel Cabezon came free, but Hugo Araya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 31 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Zorros del Desierto! The referee gave EoDu Uai Sôccer a penalty, 32 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Demetrio Cannata, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Zorros del Desierto's Hugo Araya. 1-1. Hugo Araya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Demetrio Cannata, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. In the 37th minute, Christiano Anaya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Demetrio Cannata recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Patxi Claude was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Zorros del Desierto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Javier Rufo to maneuver through the defense. 54 minutes into the match, Jardel Cabezon notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Zorros del Desierto's Hugo Araya. Hugo Araya was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kylian D Agostino came free with the goalkeeper in the 62nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Hugo Araya could save by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jardel Cabezon got free with Hugo Araya in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jardel Cabezon made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 63rdth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Hugo Araya would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Edmílson Severo hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Hugo Araya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Demetrio Cannata in the 69th minute of the match. 1-3 became the score in the 69th minute when Jardel Cabezon elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. José-Luis Chilavert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Concetto Mare, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. The audience was convinced that Concetto Mare's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José-Luis Chilavert was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. 81 minutes into the match, EoDu Uai Sôccer's goal looked a bit too open when Patxi Claude came free, but José-Luis Chilavert reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. José-Luis Chilavert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Concetto Mare in the 82nd minute of play. Hugo Araya was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Erivaldo Pernambucano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 94 minute of play.
