The audience thought a goal was coming when Leonel Hunfredo got free with Oleg Ubinov in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice moves Tzoko Pastúrmadzhiev could shoot a difficult shot in the 96th minute, which Alejandro Jerano however easily saved by the left post.

After the break the players went out on the field to play the first half of overtime with revived energy in their legs. FC CSKA's Tzoko Pastúrmadzhiev started the play with the initial kick off. Alejandro Jerano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tzoko Pastúrmadzhiev in the 99th minute of play. Alejandro Jerano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Varban Netzov, who was totally free with the ball in the 101st minute. Jaime Gauargi hit a great freekick 106 minutes into the match. After 107 played minutes, FC CSKA's Velimir Kocharkov shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alejandro Jerano came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC CSKA reached it. Both sets of players were looking tired when the whistle went to end the half. Everyone was pleased to get a few minutes to rest before extra-time resumed.

117 minutes into the match, Leonel Hunfredo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Oleg Ubinov. FC CSKA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leonel Hunfredo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Kalessin's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
