Volkan Demirel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Generoso Berriotxoa in the 15th minute of play. ★ʙıᴄнᴀʀʀᴀккøs кᴀʀʀøйᴇʀøs★'s Siro Eguen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by İlhan Mansız in the 21st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Blas Perico during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 23 played minutes ★ʙıᴄнᴀʀʀᴀккøs кᴀʀʀøйᴇʀøs★ got a freekick which was hit by Blas Perico. The players didn't get much rest, but they still tried to pep each other up as they lined up for the first half in overtime. Nevşehirspor's İlhan Mansız started the play with his kick off. After 103 played minutes Nevşehirspor got a freekick which was hit by Rıfkı Süvari. The first half of extra-time was a real thriller. Both teams had created chances, but they were still tied when the whistle blew. The players were able to take a short breather during the short break.

The supporters of Nevşehirspor booed when ★ʙıᴄнᴀʀʀᴀккøs кᴀʀʀøйᴇʀøs★ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 126 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lino Noe didn't get a good kick on the ball.
