Luca Langoni might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elvio Osorio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elvio Osorio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's Elvio Osorio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Palacio in the 19th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Rodrigo Palacio kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Elvio Osorio. That made the score 2-4 in the 90 minute of play. 94 minutes into the game, Olimpo de Bahia Blanca's Esteve Toribio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Roque Polo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-4.
The Olimpo de Bahia Blanca fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. RB Chubut were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
