Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Daniel Zorita got the match started through his kick off. 7 minutes into the game, Primitivo Andino threw the ball into play from the sideline. The Underdogs's Ed Palsma quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Dolf Schoonderwoerd tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Underdogs's Jan Wessel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 11th minute of play. If Iustin Hațegan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dolf Schoonderwoerd got free with Julio Vera in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 34th minute of the match The Underdogs got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Iustin Hațegan ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Underdogs were awarded a corner in the 42th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Iustin Hațegan took the corner. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Piearres Olalla was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Dolf Schoonderwoerd's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 50th minute of the game. The corner led Ecuador's Agustín Saelices to fire away a dangerous shot which Jan Wessel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 68th minute Dolf Schoonderwoerd shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Dolf Schoonderwoerd might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dolf Schoonderwoerd ran back to his position shaking his head. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dolf Schoonderwoerd, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dolf Schoonderwoerd in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jan Wessel came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Luis Andino. But to his dismay, Luis Andino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. André Luiz Linares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, The Underdogs could leave the field as winners, despite Ecuador having more of the ball for most of the match.
