With his leg Jacobo Nores managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when MaLe FC's Alfred Elvins fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the match had gone on for 31 minutes, Alfred Elvins put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jacobo Nores. 37 minutes into the game, Hector Covarrubias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paraguay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MaLe FC the free kick. After 39 played minutes Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Raul Venegas. Ante Rebić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 44th match minute, Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Primitivo Escribano to maneuver through the defense. After 45 played minutes MaLe FC got a freekick which was hit by Mats Myr. When Jaime Pardo came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Paraguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Pardo couldn't finish the play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Jacobo Nores showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Umberto Nunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Jaime Pardo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Joel Alén made a huge save. The supporters of Paraguay booed when MaLe FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ante Rebić didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Umberto Nunes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacobo Nores was relentless in the 77th minute of the game. In the 81stth minute of the game Alfred Elvins who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paraguay's Jacobo Nores was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee showed Umberto Nunes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 87 played minutes MaLe FC got a freekick which was hit by Umberto Nunes. Hector Covarrubias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Joel Alén tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jaime Pardo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joel Alén read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. In the 92nd minute of the match Paraguay got a corner. MaLe FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jaime Pardo ran over to the corner to take the kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Paraguay players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for MaLe FC.
