Agustín Álvarez really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 11th minute, Benito Gallegos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Montevideo City Torque's Christophe Troxler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Montenegro in the 13th minute of play. Christophe Troxler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Montevideo City Torque's attentive Ospetsu Villarmerin managed to snatch the ball when Antonio Indiano made a throw-in in the 18th minute of the game. Pedro Manzanares made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Agustín Álvarez sent off a good shot on target. Antonio Indiano got a throw-in 23 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Pascual Carballar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Agustín Álvarez got free with Pedro Manzanares in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 31st minute Colombia were awarded a corner. Axel Montenegro went to the cornerflag to take it. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Axel Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colombia's supporters rose to their feet, but Axel Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christophe Troxler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Montevideo City Torque's zone, Luis Cazalla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christophe Troxler came out of the goal and Luis Cazalla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Colombia's Pedro Manzanares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Colombia from getting a goal against them. 46 minutes into the game, Guillelme Lomas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Montevideo City Torque's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Colombia the free kick. The supporters of Colombia booed when Montevideo City Torque was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillelme Lomas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 48 played minutes Colombia got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Indiano. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

After 54 minutes, Cristian Leizaur mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Montevideo City Torque and the Colombia players grew even worse after the yellow card. Axel Montenegro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Christophe Troxler firmly grabbed it by the left post. Axel Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Christophe Troxler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colombia. Montevideo City Torque's Christophe Troxler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 64th minute of play. In the 66thth minute of the game Axel Montenegro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Montevideo City Torque's Christophe Troxler was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Axel Montenegro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 71stth minute, Christophe Troxler skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Axel Montenegro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 73rdth minute tested the skills of Christophe Troxler when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abram Sarmiento in the 75th minute of play forced Montevideo City Torque's goalkeeper Christophe Troxler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Colombia's Abram Secada was substituted for Axel Montenegro. In the 77th match minute, Montevideo City Torque was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alkestis Papadopulos to maneuver through the defense. 79 minutes into the game, Ospetsu Villarmerin threw the ball into play from the sideline. Colombia's Antonio Indiano quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 82nd minute, Colombia's Abram Secada dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Kevin Mastache might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christophe Troxler. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kevin Mastache ran back to his position shaking his head. Abram Secada might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christophe Troxler. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Abram Secada ran back to his position shaking his head. 93 minutes into the game, Abram Secada recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Christophe Troxler. Abram Secada showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. When the match was over Colombia could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Montevideo City Torque throughout the match.
