Orlando Engelaar was slow to take the kick. During this time Älta BK's players had a chance to rest. If Lars-Erik Brogren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the match, Älta BK's goal looked a bit too open when Abram Sarmiento came free, but Edgar Grep reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Christoffer Vesterberg fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abram Sarmiento to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Colombia's Samuel Navarro managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Lars-Erik Brogren in the 56 minute of the game. Sonny Ek scored 1-2 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Manzanares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
