Dugald Berresford kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pelle Rudqvist got free with Dani Cochrane in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gunnar Jakobsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Neville Wal, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Neville Wal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Gunnar Jakobsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Göran Lidman kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Jemmett Baba kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olliver Todman in the 34th minute of play forced Xentrias's goalkeeper Gunnar Jakobsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gunnar Jakobsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olliver Todman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ben Minton came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Australian Youth Academy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ben Minton couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Australian Youth Academy getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Dugald Berresford hit a great ball. The supporters of Xentrias booed when Australian Youth Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olliver Todman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pelle Rudqvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Dani Cochrane made a huge save. Australian Youth Academy's Dani Cochrane played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pelle Rudqvist in the 46th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Göran Lidman to make the kick off. Dani Cochrane showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Göran Lidman, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. After having played for 52 minutes, Olliver Todman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Australian Youth Academy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olliver Todman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 58th minute, Pelle Rudqvist got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Göran Lidman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Dani Cochrane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Australian Youth Academy's Brayden Carberry got a free kick in the 65th minute. Pelle Rudqvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dani Cochrane read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. After having played for 77 minutes, Ben Minton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Australian Youth Academy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ben Minton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Brayden Carberry hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Dani Cochrane showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pelle Rudqvist in the 82nd minute of the match. Xentrias's Jonathan Hansson managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Dugald Berresford in the 89 minute of the game. Dugald Berresford kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Jemmett Baba hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The whistle blew for the end of the second half and the match was still tied. The players were able to take a short break before lining up again for extra-time.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olliver Todman in the 101st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gunnar Jakobsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 102nd minute of the match Australian Youth Academy got a corner. Xentrias's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jemmett Baba ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Jemmett Baba got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gunnar Jakobsson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Pelle Rudqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 105th minute. Dani Cochrane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Australian Youth Academy's Dakota Gaffigan got a good chance for a goal in the 108th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Neville Wal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 110th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dani Cochrane was a little too slow when Pelle Rudqvist got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 114th minute. The score was now 1-0.
