A collision led to Lunar Park getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Stanislas Salingue hit a great ball. Esteban Carvallo kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Honduras from getting a goal against them. Calvin Miel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edmundo Espiga went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Honduras's Esteban Carvallo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ronald Jeanne in the 22 minute of the game. Honduras's attentive Esteban Carvallo managed to snatch the ball when Salomon Quenet made a throw-in in the 24th minute of the game. 32 minutes into the match, Lunar Park's goal looked a bit too open when Esteban Carvallo came free, but Calvin Miel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Calvin Miel saved Lunar Park from getting behind. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmundo Espiga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Ronald Jeanne threw the ball into play from the sideline. After a defensive mix-up in Lunar Park's zone, Edmundo Espiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Calvin Miel came out of the goal and Edmundo Espiga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Ronald Jeanne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Moises Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Calvin Miel having to interfere. 87 minutes into the game, Nathan Escot threw the ball into play from the sideline. Honduras's Valentín Carvallo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Honduras's Sebastian Villa got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Honduras's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
