Kaká Rosado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moises Fernandino in the 12th minute of the match. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Oiteiras's goalkeeper Kaká Rosado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sidnei Dante's late challenge caught a El Salvador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sidnei Dante helped the player get up and apologised. In the 22nd match minute, Oiteiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sidnei Dante to maneuver through the defense. Kaká Rosado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Oiteiras's Júlio Brasil quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Luis Rubio, made in the 31st minute of the game. Joshua Curbelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Kaká Rosado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Oiteiras booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Rubio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 39 minutes, Moises Fernandino made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Oiteiras's Kaká Rosado tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Mateo Leguizamo got a free kick in the 47th minute. The Oiteiras players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. El Salvador were winning 0-3.

When Duda Capixaba fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oiteiras's protests and gave Duda Capixaba a yellow card for diving instead. In the 52nd minute, Duda Capixaba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 55th minute of the game Valentino Ferrant made a throw-in which Mateo Leguizamo played forward. In the 57th minute, Natanael Barral left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Oiteiras fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. 60 minutes into the match, Oiteiras's goalkeeper Kaká Rosado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Moises Fernandino. The throw-in from Luis Rubio in the 62nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Oiteiras's Júlio Brasil. Oiteiras's Sidnei Dante managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Valentino Ferrant in the 68 minute of the game. Ricardo Zorita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chicão Ramalho in the 79th minute of the match. A collision led to Oiteiras getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Chicão Ramalho hit a great ball. The throw-in from Joshua Curbelo in the 82nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Oiteiras's Duda Capixaba. The supporters of Oiteiras booed when El Salvador was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joshua Curbelo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Moises Fernandino in the 88thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Abram Luque who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Kaká Rosado when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The long shot by Mateo Leguizamo in the 93rd minute really tested Kaká Rosado's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched El Salvador eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
