Genaro Quiroga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fellipe Lago, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Genaro Quiroga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Urban Stenman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Barrenta SC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching River Plate's performance. The match ended with a win for River Plate.
