In the 5th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josef Witlatschil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 7th minute, Pentti Ojala left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tiger fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Mikael Siltavirta made in the 11th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Christo Bothenhain however managed to control. A collision led to Venezuela getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Rigoberto Mina hit a great ball. An unexpected shot in the 18th minute by Pentti Ojala got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Pentti Ojalas short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Jonathan Ferrant to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jonathan Ferrant was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Pentti Ojala showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 23 minute of play. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 27 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Iwo Sawicki came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pentti Ojala who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Jonathan Ferrant when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mikael Siltavirta during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Venezuela made a substitution. Roberto Ocampo replaced Patricio Costa. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Thilo Heß stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Thilo Heß tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Josef Witlatschil prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tiger's Josef Witlatschil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 40th minute of play. In the 42nd minute, Iwo Sawicki got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Pentti Ojala tried to sneak it across the goal line. Josef Witlatschil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Iwo Sawicki made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Jonathan Venegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pentti Ojala's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. 62 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Christo Bothenhain came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gaizka Mendieta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tiger made a substitution. Ingo Ustorf replaced Rudolf Speed. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 68th minute. 70 minutes into the game, Jose Correa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tiger the free kick. In the 70th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jose Correa to maneuver through the defense. After 71 minutes of play, Tiger's Iwo Sawicki made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tiger made a substitution. Américo Baehr replaced Fatih Schwemer. 77 minutes into the match, Thilo Heß notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 81st match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gaos to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Pentti Ojala stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Pentti Ojala tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Tomas Illescas kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Josef Witlatschil. That made the score 4-1 in the 87 minute of play. The audience was convinced that Pentti Ojala's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. In the 92nd minute Pentti Ojala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iwo Sawicki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mikael Siltavirta was shown his second yellow card after 94 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 95th minute, Mikael Siltavirta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tiger walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
