But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leysus Himawan couldn't finish the play. In the 10th minute of the match, Ernesto Bermudez tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gandung Rahardjo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 13th minute Ernesto Bermudez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gandung Rahardjo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner ended in Tintus Sarwono almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Atletico Nacional's Titus Pickens did a great save. In the 18th minute Omo Sumadipraja shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Titus Pickens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to FONGIE getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Dede Sangaji hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute, Ethan Person got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Atletico Nacional getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Jacob Judd hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, FONGIE's Engkos Waroka got a free kick in the 27th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ernesto Bermudez in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gandung Rahardjo saved FONGIE from getting behind. Ernesto Bermudez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Leysus Himawan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Jacob Judd was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 39 minutes had been played. Jacob Judd hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 40th minute of the match Tintus Sarwono sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Titus Pickens skillfully saved the ball. Omo Sumadipraja recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Atletico Nacional defense, Leysus Himawan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Titus Pickens. The Atletico Nacional fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Titus Pickens should have stopped the shot. After the first half FONGIE were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ethan Person made a kick off. Gandung Rahardjo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ethan Person, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leysus Himawan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Titus Pickens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Titus Pickens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Leysus Himawan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Leysus Himawan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Titus Pickens came out and tried to block the shot, but Leysus Himawan slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 88th minute. FONGIE's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
