After a defensive mix-up in Güzelbahce's zone, Ethan Person stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arif Bilge Demirbaş came out of the goal and Ethan Person tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Güzelbahce's Eralp Özdoru got a free kick in the 31st minute. Güzelbahce's defense didn't have a chance, in the 34th minute, when Ernesto Bermudez scored to the left of an out of position Arif Bilge Demirbaş, making the score, 1-1. The supporters of Atletico Nacional booed when Güzelbahce was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karahan Burçak didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Bermudez in the 40th minute of play forced Güzelbahce's goalkeeper Arif Bilge Demirbaş to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 43 minutes into the game, Abdulmelik Rüştü was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Güzelbahce's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atletico Nacional the free kick. Arif Bilge Demirbaş came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Atletico Nacional's Ernesto Bermudez. But to his dismay, Ernesto Bermudez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Cenan Kayaalp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Titus Pickens having to interfere. Yiğit Can Taykoç sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ernesto Bermudez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Atletico Nacional's Titus Pickens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yiğit Can Taykoç in the 77th minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Güzelbahce's goal looked a bit too open when Ethan Person came free, but Arif Bilge Demirbaş reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Yiğit Can Taykoç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Atletico Nacional getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Daryl Dougherty hit a great ball. Ethan Person received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute.
