The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of La Partuza FC booed when Sport Club Corinthians was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesar Delarosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Darin Beam who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Ernesto Oxarra when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ernesto Oxarra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Darin Beam, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th match minute, Sport Club Corinthians was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darin Beam to maneuver through the defense. Luis Neto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Sport Club Corinthians's Curtis Blalock got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Mel Avila showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Segundo Santiago in the 24th minute of the match. Diego Rafel made in the 25th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Leonardo Jakue. Sport Club Corinthians's Mel Avila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teofilo Salvino in the 31st minute of play. With his leg Ernesto Oxarra managed to avoid a goal in the 38thth minute, when Sport Club Corinthians's Darin Beam fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Sport Club Corinthians getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Teodoro Stiles hit a great ball. In the 46th minute, Darin Beam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Wilmer Ward fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sport Club Corinthians's protests and gave Wilmer Ward a yellow card for diving instead.

Mel Avila was out of position in the 54 minute of play, and Teofilo Salvino capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Teofilo Salvino really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diego Rafel during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience was convinced that Darin Beam's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ernesto Oxarra was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Sport Club Corinthians's Darin Beam got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 84th minute Darin Beam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Oxarra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Darin Beam in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ernesto Oxarra saved La Partuza FC from getting behind. 87 minutes into the game, Santos Nahia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. La Partuza FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sport Club Corinthians the free kick. After a rather tough play, La Partuza FC's Santos Nahia got a free kick in the 87th minute. When Darin Beam came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Sport Club Corinthians fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Darin Beam couldn't finish the play.
