In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Winston Premium 100S's goalkeeper Álvaro Ribas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nicolas Mourão took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Titus Pickens. Atletico Nacional's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Gusmão Sá took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Titus Pickens. Titus Pickens dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 23rdth minute of the game Gusmão Sá who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atletico Nacional's Titus Pickens was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ethan Person in the 29th minute of play forced Winston Premium 100S's goalkeeper Álvaro Ribas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Atletico Nacional defense, Gusmão Sá kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Titus Pickens. The Atletico Nacional fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Titus Pickens should have stopped the shot. In the last second Titus Pickens throw himself and got hold of the ball when Gusmão Sá in the 97thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post.
