Gusmão Sá who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 7thth minute tested the skills of Mel Avila when he managed to save the team from getting behind. David Azevedos short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Mel Avila to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 11 played minutes Sport Club Corinthians got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Coulter. 16 minutes into the match, Winston Premium 100S's goal looked a bit too open when Darin Beam came free, but Álvaro Ribas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mel Avila came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Winston Premium 100S's David Azevedo. But to his dismay, David Azevedo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. David Azevedo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Mel Avila made a huge save. Jaime Coulter's late challenge caught a Winston Premium 100S's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jaime Coulter helped the player get up and apologised. Jaime Coulter hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Mel Avila was a little too slow when David Azevedo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 2-0. In the 34th minute Gusmão Sá shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mel Avila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A throw-in in the 37th minute of the game was made by Samuel Bettencourt with Nicolas Mourão as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Mel Avila stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of David Azevedo's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. After 55 played minutes Sport Club Corinthians got a freekick which was hit by Brad Bauer. In the 62nd minute Gusmão Sá shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mel Avila saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Samuel Bettencourt in the 66th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Sport Club Corinthians's Jaime Coulter. If Darin Beam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sport Club Corinthians's Mel Avila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gusmão Sá in the 70th minute of play. Winston Premium 100S's Álvaro Ribas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodoro Stiles in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th match minute, Sport Club Corinthians was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Coulter to maneuver through the defense. In the 84th minute, André Peralta made a precise shot to the right of Mel Avila. Sport Club Corinthians's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. When Darin Beam came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Sport Club Corinthians fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Darin Beam couldn't finish the play. 89 minutes into the match, Gusmão Sá had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mel Avila. Sport Club Corinthians's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gusmão Sá was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Winston Premium 100S had played much better football throughout.
