Aureliusz Marchefka might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ernesto Oxarra. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aureliusz Marchefka ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 23rd minute, Gaspar Geleberto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The La Partuza FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ernesto Oxarra should have stopped the shot. Luis Neto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Souad Brahimi made a huge save. Ernesto Oxarra came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by KKS Lech Poznań's Aureliusz Marchefka. But to his dismay, Aureliusz Marchefka quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Segundo Santiago stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind La Partuza FC's goalkeeper Ernesto Oxarra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. La Partuza FC's Ernesto Oxarra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save La Partuza FC from getting a goal against them. In the 75thth minute of the game Segundo Santiago who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KKS Lech Poznań's Souad Brahimi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With 83 minutes on the clock, Nereo Suarez commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in La Partuza FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 83rd minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 86 minutes, KKS Lech Poznań's Rafal Juszkowski got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ernesto Oxarra. In the 90th minute Leonardo Jakue shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Souad Brahimi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Souad Brahimi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teofilo Salvino, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. The KKS Lech Poznań supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing KKS Lech Poznań would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
