In the 12th match minute, Sport Club Corinthians was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Curtis Blalock to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the game, Galeno Valdés cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Mel Avila was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Estefan Cuadrado got free with Mel Avila in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Galeno Valdés's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mel Avila read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. Derribos F.C. were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after Sport Club Corinthians's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mancio Amorebieta took the corner. The corner led Derribos F.C.'s Mancio Amorebieta to fire away a dangerous shot which Mel Avila despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A collision led to Sport Club Corinthians getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Troy Hutton hit a great ball. Costante Mendez came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Sport Club Corinthians's Darin Beam. But to his dismay, Darin Beam quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Cesar Delarosa's late challenge caught a Derribos F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cesar Delarosa helped the player get up and apologised. In the 58th minute, Cesar Delarosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Costante Mendez didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Darin Beam went, in the 63rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Mel Avila stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xulio Bacete's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Cesar Delarosa kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Sport Club Corinthians's Mel Avila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Estefan Cuadrado in the 76th minute of play. The Sport Club Corinthians fans' excitement grew in the 77th match minute when Sport Club Corinthians's Darin Beam looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 80th minute, Sport Club Corinthians's Teodoro Stiles dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-6. Galeno Valdés fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mel Avila having to interfere. When Troy Hutton fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sport Club Corinthians's protests and gave Troy Hutton a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Sport Club Corinthians getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Troy Hutton hit a great ball. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Derribos F.C.! Although Derribos F.C. had been in control for most of the match, Sport Club Corinthians still came away with the win.
