When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, Eleuterio Sancho put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ernesto Oxarra. When Santos Nahia fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored La Partuza FC's protests and gave Santos Nahia a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 6th minute of the game. One of La Partuza FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Luna Roja FC:s goal. 8 minutes into the match, Ignacio Mikelats had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ernesto Oxarra. La Partuza FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ignacio Mikelats was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in La Partuza FC's zone, Eleuterio Sancho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernesto Oxarra came out of the goal and Eleuterio Sancho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 17 minutes, Eleuterio Sancho made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. La Partuza FC's Ernesto Oxarra tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 23 minutes into the game, Eleuterio Sancho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Ernesto Oxarra was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Luna Roja FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Eloy Xabel hit a great ball. In the 30th minute Epifanio Deunoro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Oxarra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mateo Nerio in the 31st minute of play forced La Partuza FC's goalkeeper Ernesto Oxarra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute Eleuterio Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Oxarra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eleuterio Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Ernesto Oxarra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eleuterio Sancho struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Ernesto Oxarra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Luna Roja FC. When Eleuterio Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Luna Roja FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eleuterio Sancho couldn't finish the play. In the 46th match minute, Luna Roja FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anselmo Evarado to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Segundo Santiago made a kick off. Anselmo Evarado hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. After 53 played minutes La Partuza FC got a freekick which was hit by Diego Rafel. Epifanio Deunoro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 58th minute, Epifanio Deunoro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ernesto Oxarra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eleuterio Sancho's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Leonardo Jakue scored 1-4 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benjamin Lugo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 76th minute, Eleuterio Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ernesto Oxarra was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-6. Benjamin Lugo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teofilo Salvino in the 79th minute of play. Ernesto Oxarra came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Luna Roja FC's Eleuterio Sancho. But to his dismay, Eleuterio Sancho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-7. After a rather tough play, Luna Roja FC's Eleuterio Sancho got a free kick in the 89th minute. Ivan Sanchez kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Luna Roja FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
