Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ramiro Paul took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 2nd minute, Stig-Ove Kiempe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 3rd minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dino Zoff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristian Sancho took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dino Zoff. Dino Zoff dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Cristian Sancho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristian Sancho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dino Zoff breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Ramiro Paul sent off a good shot on target. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dino Zoff made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 15th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Ramiro Paul kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Julio Vera. That made the score 1-1 in the 16 minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Lucrețiu Sântimbrean hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 32nd minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dino Zoff saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isac Covataru hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. After 36 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Sancho. After a rather tough play, Cormoranii -MM-'s Eugen Boldur got a free kick in the 41st minute. Julio Vera was a little too slow when Ramiro Paul got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 43rd minute. The score was now 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 50th minute, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Luis Andino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dino Zoff breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dino Zoff was out of position in the 55 minute of play, and Felix Montenegro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Felix Montenegro really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. When Lucrețiu Sântimbrean fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cormoranii -MM-'s protests and gave Lucrețiu Sântimbrean a yellow card for diving instead. Ecuador made a substitution. Max Alvarado replaced Felix Montes. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramiro Paul, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Dino Zoff made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 69th minute. When Cormoranii -MM-'s Ramiro Paul in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ecuador's goalie prevented a goal. After 72 played minutes Cormoranii -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Marcel Vulpe. The audience was convinced that Ramiro Paul's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Julio Vera was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Eugen Boldur might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eugen Boldur ran back to his position shaking his head. When the match clock showed 77 minutes, the score became 3-2 when Ramiro Paul sped through Ecuador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Julio Vera. After 80 minutes, Ramiro Paul made it 4-2 with a short kick to the right side. Ecuador's Julio Vera tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ramiro Paul in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Daniel Zorita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Dino Zoff tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Agustín Saelices could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Dino Zoff made a huge save. Ecuador's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Cormoranii -MM- had won, even though Ecuador had held more of the ball.
