Honduras's Esteban Carvallo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Esteban Carvallo hit a great ball. Edmundo Espiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Honduras's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Edmundo Espiga in the 16th minute. In the 19th minute, Valentín Carvallo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lautaro Navarro was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Filiberto Bermudez. In the 22nd minute 潘林凡 shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 潘林凡 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by DEPORTIVO SJ's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Edmundo Espiga was slow to take the kick. During this time Honduras's players had a chance to rest. With a little luck, Honduras's Lautaro Navarro got control of the ball when Filiberto Bermudez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Honduras's Lautaro Navarro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 潘林凡 in the 36th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Filiberto Bermudez came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 潘林凡, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. In the 44th minute, DEPORTIVO SJ's 潘林凡 ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Edmundo Espiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isidro Christobal having to interfere. 54 minutes into the game, Vaino Funda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. DEPORTIVO SJ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Honduras the free kick. In the 60th minute, Filiberto Bermudez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The DEPORTIVO SJ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. In the 68th minute DEPORTIVO SJ were awarded a corner. Filiberto Bermudez went to the cornerflag to take it. DEPORTIVO SJ's Filiberto Bermudez was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lautaro Navarro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fulgencio Beremundo, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Edmundo Espiga hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 潘林凡, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 76 minutes, Milagros Cabal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Honduras and the DEPORTIVO SJ players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Milagros Cabal hit a great ball. When DEPORTIVO SJ's 潘林凡 in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Honduras's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmundo Espiga in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Isidro Christobal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Filiberto Bermudez in the 93rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lautaro Navarro saved Honduras from getting behind. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. DEPORTIVO SJ were victorious despite being under pressure from Honduras for much of the match.
