The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Sobrecastell UD's goal looked a bit too open when Roman Vrobel came free, but César Suarez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 4th minute of the match AC Sparta Plzeň got a corner. Sobrecastell UD's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Roman Vrobel ran over to the corner to take the kick. AC Sparta Plzeň's Roman Vrobel was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but César Suarez in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The crowd rose to their feet as Sobrecastell UD's Tomás Beltran slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Hans Ullrich. That made the score 1-0 after 6 minutes of play. After a rather tough play, Sobrecastell UD's Joško Gvardiol got a free kick in the 9th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomás Beltran in the 12th managed to get into a good position. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sobrecastell UD's goalkeeper César Suarez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Hans Ullrich stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tomás Beltran's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. In the 19th minute Roman Vrobel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but César Suarez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute, Tomás Beltran got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. AC Sparta Plzeň's Hans Ullrich proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save AC Sparta Plzeň from getting a goal against them. Cortez Morera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hans Ullrich having to interfere. César Suarez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roman Vrobel in the 30th minute of the match. Tomás Beltran blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hans Ullrich having to make a save. Hans Ullrich made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Beltran in the 32nd minute of play. In the 35th minute, Sobrecastell UD's Tomás Beltran ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hans Ullrich. Hans Ullrich yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Hans Ullrich took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cortez Morera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 39 minutes of play, AC Sparta Plzeň's Christan Benitez made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. César Suarez was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Sobrecastell UD's Tomás Beltran in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AC Sparta Plzeň's goalie prevented a goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cortez Morera made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 50th minute, Roman Vrobel managed to get in a good position for a shot. AC Sparta Plzeň's supporters rose to their feet, but Roman Vrobel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. César Suarez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 52 played minutes Sobrecastell UD got a freekick which was hit by Bertol Morera. César Suarez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christan Benitez, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. In the 56th minute, Tomás Beltran got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 57 minutes into the game, Ondřej Maršál was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AC Sparta Plzeň's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sobrecastell UD the free kick. Ondřej Maršál hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the AC Sparta Plzeň defense, Tomás Beltran kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hans Ullrich. The AC Sparta Plzeň fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hans Ullrich should have stopped the shot. If Joško Gvardiol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hans Ullrich made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joško Gvardiol in the 61st minute of play. Hans Ullrich took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Beltran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. César Suarez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christan Benitez, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 70th match minute, Sobrecastell UD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cortez Morera to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st minute Douglas Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but César Suarez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of AC Sparta Plzeň booed when Sobrecastell UD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joško Gvardiol didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute Tomás Beltran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hans Ullrich saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sobrecastell UD's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joško Gvardiol in the 79th minute. Joško Gvardiol made a great header on Sobrecastell UD's corner, it was just that AC Sparta Plzeň's Hans Ullrich managed to reach the ball for a save. Hans Ullrich made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bertol Morera in the 87th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, AC Sparta Plzeň's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Beltran came free, but Hans Ullrich reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Sobrecastell UD fans cheered their team off the field, for while AC Sparta Plzeň had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
