Baran Sarka started the match with the kick off. After 2 played minutes Ríver Late got a freekick which was hit by Rick Haremeijer. Claudio Echeverri might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacobo Nores. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Claudio Echeverri ran back to his position shaking his head. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Echeverri in the 11th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goal looked a bit too open when Claudio Echeverri came free, but Jacobo Nores reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Hector Covarrubias hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Claudio Echeverri kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jacobo Nores. That made the score 1-0 in the 14 minute of play. Jacobo Nores was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Claudio Echeverri showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 19 minute of play. Claudio Echeverri blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jacobo Nores having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudio Echeverri got free with Jacobo Nores in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Paraguay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jaime Pardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudio Echeverri in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jacobo Nores saved Paraguay from getting behind. Claudio Echeverri blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jacobo Nores having to make a save. Jacobo Nores made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudio Echeverri in the 38th minute of play. In the 40th minute, Ríver Late's Claudio Echeverri dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. In the 44thth minute of the game Claudio Echeverri who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Paraguay's Jacobo Nores was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jacobo Nores stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudio Echeverri's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. 47 minutes into the match, Paraguay's goalkeeper Jacobo Nores had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claudio Echeverri. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jaime Pardo made a kick off. Claudio Echeverri might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jacobo Nores. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacobo Nores prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jose Sanz hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. If Claudio Echeverri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
