Spectators: 51 (Terracing: 39, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Julian Murillo started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Peru's Alonso Berganza got a free kick in the 7th minute. If Tivadar Demeter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 10th minute, Bai Jun Chong hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 11th minute, Julian Murillo made a precise shot to the right of Arnold Szuper. Szombathely Squirrels's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Julian Murillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Arnold Szuper tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnold Szuper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Szombathely Squirrels's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Peru's Luz Tejedor to fire away a dangerous shot which Arnold Szuper despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnold Szuper read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Arnold Szuper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julian Murillo in the 23rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tivadar Demeter got free with Rolando Noboa in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lukas Arlikevičius charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lukas Arlikevičius the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Peru booed when Szombathely Squirrels was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lukas Arlikevičius didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julian Murillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnold Szuper read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. A collision led to Szombathely Squirrels getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Luciano Aued hit a great ball. Arnold Szuper showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luz Tejedor in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 34th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnold Szuper saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 35th minute of play forced Szombathely Squirrels's goalkeeper Arnold Szuper to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peru's attentive Alonso Berganza managed to snatch the ball when József Varga made a throw-in in the 39th minute of the game. Bai Jun Chong kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Julian Murillo scored 0-2 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnold Szuper, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Peru were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tivadar Demeter made a kick off. Tivadar Demeter recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arnold Szuper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Mina in the 56th minute of play. Szombathely Squirrels made a substitution. Lei Jian Xiong replaced Tivadar Demeter. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by Szombathely Squirrels's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. After 66 minutes Szombathely Squirrels's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. Peru's Luz Tejedor was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Arnold Szuper in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Arnold Szuper made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luz Tejedor in the 70th minute. When Luciano Aued fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Szombathely Squirrels's protests and gave Luciano Aued a yellow card for diving instead. Luz Tejedor made a great header on Peru's corner, it was just that Szombathely Squirrels's Arnold Szuper managed to reach the ball for a save. Peru's Eliseo Alcocer was substituted for Moises Gayoso. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. 92 minutes into the match, Peru's Rafael Gallo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arnold Szuper narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Peru's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
