The Peru fans' excitement grew in the 10th match minute when Peru's Julian Murillo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 15th minute, Julian Murillo made a precise shot to the right of Arnold Szuper. Szombathely Squirrels's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. In the 20thth minute of the game Tivadar Demeter who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peru's Rolando Noboa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Szombathely Squirrels were awarded a corner in the 21th minute after Peru's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Bai Jun Chong took the corner. The corner ended in Michel Goiano almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Peru's Rolando Noboa did a great save. Arnold Szuper showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Mina, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. 27 minutes had been played when some careless play by Szombathely Squirrels's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Julian Murillo dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tivadar Demeter in the 33rd minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Szombathely Squirrels's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Peru's corner Luz Tejedor fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Arnold Szuper quite easily take care of the ball. The supporters of Peru booed when Szombathely Squirrels was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. József Varga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rolando Noboa didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lei Jian Xiong went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnold Szuper saved Szombathely Squirrels from getting behind. 74 minutes had been played when some careless play by Szombathely Squirrels's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Milagros Fraga's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Arnold Szuper firmly grabbed it by the left post. Antonio Tenorio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Arnold Szuper tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Szombathely Squirrels's Attila Kiss got a free kick in the 92nd minute. 94 minutes into the game, one of Szombathely Squirrels:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Peru a penalty, 95 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Eliseo Mina, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Szombathely Squirrels's Arnold Szuper. 2-4. Through an outstanding action, after 98 minutes, Arnold Szuper successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Peru's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
