If Ziemowit Haskiewicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karl Pilgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cassius Byrne in the 8th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jenson Smith in the 13th minute of play forced BANDOLEIROS osasco's goalkeeper Karl Pilgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the game, USA's Cassius Byrne nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Karl Pilgren made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. BANDOLEIROS osasco's Karl Pilgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 20th minute of play. If Jacob May had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Billy Sandström kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Karl Pilgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monty Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Cassius Byrne took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Karl Pilgren. Karl Pilgren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Edward Mcdonald sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 39 minutes into the match, BANDOLEIROS osasco's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Mcdonald came free, but Karl Pilgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Monty Rogers's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Karl Pilgren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. After 45 minutes of play, USA's Cassius Byrne made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Karl Pilgren was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Billy Sandström to strike the kick off in the second half. Karl Pilgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cassius Byrne in the 57th minute of the match. Yusuf Ziya Altınkaya's late challenge caught a USA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Yusuf Ziya Altınkaya helped the player get up and apologised. After 58 played minutes BANDOLEIROS osasco got a freekick which was hit by Yusuf Ziya Altınkaya. BANDOLEIROS osasco made a substitution. José Augusto Nóbrega replaced Ziemowit Haskiewicz. BANDOLEIROS osasco's Peter Paul Crouch was substituted for Billy Sandström. Karl Pilgren was a little too slow when Sam Campbell got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 88th minute. The score was now 0-5. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind USA's goalkeeper Marco Day, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
