Sabadim Harammes PRD's Eder Lopes got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 32 minutes into the game, Eder Lopes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Joaquin Gayoso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Mariano Bladi took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Joaquin Gayoso to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Bladi in the 40th minute of play forced Uruguay's goalkeeper Joaquin Gayoso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eder Lopes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joaquin Gayoso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. The supporters of Sabadim Harammes PRD booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Francisco Seco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uruguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Seco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mauro Cunha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Eder Lopes put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Mauro Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximiliano Escribano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alberto Gisbert hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sabadim Harammes PRD's Tao Yao Xi was substituted for Francisco Figueiredo. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mariano Bladi's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Miguel Diegues made in the 78th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Abel Castelo Branco immediately put the ball in play. The audience was convinced that Eder Lopes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joaquin Gayoso was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Mariano Bladi kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match.
