Alvaro Rudolfo didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Chile's Mariano Lacasa shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. 14 minutes into the game, Chile's Mariano Lacasa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alvaro Rudolfo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Despite this Thiago Pliego quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Alvaro Rudolfo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guillermo Fontirroig in the 33rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orlando Casaus in the 41st minute of play forced Coritiba Foot Ball Club's goalkeeper Alvaro Rudolfo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Alvaro Rudolfo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Casaus in the 41st minute of play. Thiago Machado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alvaro Rudolfo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 47th minute of the match.

Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Marquez Padolles was substituted for Thiago Machado. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fausto Romero to make the kick off. Alvaro Rudolfo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Lacasa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marquez Padolles in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thiago Pliego saved Chile from getting behind. A collision led to Chile getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Francisco Carballar hit a great ball. Alvaro Rudolfo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 58th minute. Thiago Pliego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marquez Padolles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th minute, Mariano Lacasa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chile fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Romero in the 70th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Fausto Romero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thiago Pliego was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Coritiba Foot Ball Club's Alvaro Rudolfo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariano Lacasa in the 88th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Chile's Orlando Casaus ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alvaro Rudolfo. Alvaro Rudolfo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-5. The Chile supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Chile would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
