After 12 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zygmunt Dziechciowski was left in no man's land by his defense there! Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zygmunt Dziechciowski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zygmunt Dziechciowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zygmunt Dziechciowski came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Ecuador's Daniel Zorita. But to his dismay, Daniel Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Zygmunt Dziechciowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Zorita, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 28th minute, Maximus Speed left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ￜDCￜ™KKS LECH 2006 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Song Sheng Feng's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 48thth minute, Julio Vera skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After the first half Ecuador were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

51 minutes in the game Primitivo Andino did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Felix Montenegro. After 53 played minutes ￜDCￜ™KKS LECH 2006 got a freekick which was hit by Yu Xu Zhi. Song Sheng Feng's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Song Sheng Feng in the 67th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Song Sheng Feng, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Song Sheng Feng in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 74th minute Song Sheng Feng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Song Sheng Feng took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Primitivo Andino kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. After having played for 88 minutes, Maximus Speed managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ￜDCￜ™KKS LECH 2006's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maximus Speed was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Song Sheng Feng in the 90th minute of play. In the 96th minute Song Sheng Feng shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ecuador players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
