Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dorel Nedelciu started the match with the kick off. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. 8 minutes into the match, Dorel Nedelciu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dorel Nedelciu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dorel Nedelciu in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonathan Ferrant saved Venezuela from getting behind. Gigel Tilea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Dorel Nedelciu took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Jonathan Ferrant to make any attempt to save it. Academia Rio's Gigel Tilea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 30th minute of play. Jean Oltean hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute, Lucian Petriceanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dorel Nedelciu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sergiu Coșeriu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jean Oltean kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomas Illescas stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee felt a red card was in order, 51 minutes into the game, when Mihai Oniga put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 51st minute of the game. One of Academia Rio:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Venezuela:s goal. After 60 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Guillermo Mariano. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucian Petriceanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 63 minutes into the match, Academia Rio's goalkeeper Gigel Tilea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. If Radu Păvăloae had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Academia Rio's Gigel Tilea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patricio Costa in the 67th minute of play. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 72 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Radu Păvăloae came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Gigel Tilea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Gigel Tilea in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 79th minute, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. In the 82nd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radu Păvăloae, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 85 minutes, Sergiu Coșeriu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Academia Rio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sergiu Coșeriu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Radu Păvăloae fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Patricio Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Gigel Tilea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Academia Rio had won after a very even match.
