Mircea Popic took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Francisco Seco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mircea Popic was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, A4p Dejani's Valeriu Berevoescu got a free kick in the 21st minute. After taking down the ball on Uruguay's corner Kevin Carballal fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Mircea Popic quite easily take care of the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francisco Seco to make the kick off. Emanuel Savu kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. In the 53rd minute of the match Jaime Cazalla sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mircea Popic skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to A4p Dejani getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Manuel Păltineanu hit a great ball. 67 minutes into the match, A4p Dejani's goalkeeper Mircea Popic had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Seco. Francisco Seco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A4p Dejani's Mircea Popic proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save A4p Dejani from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Camilo Franco got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Mircea Popic showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Francisco Seco did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-5 to the left of a surprised Mircea Popic 80 minutes into the match. If Francisco Seco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisco Seco in the 89thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mircea Popic, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Joaquin Gayoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valeriu Isvoreanu's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. After a defensive mix-up in A4p Dejani's zone, Francisco Seco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mircea Popic came out of the goal and Francisco Seco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Uruguay's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
