Panama's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 35thth minute of the game Arkhip Ilyin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Panama's Marcos Cotilla was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 38th minute Abraham Alguacil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adriano Pappalardo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd match minute, chacarita juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucjan Malewicz to maneuver through the defense. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Berganza was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Deng Wei Lin in the 60th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 75 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Isidoro Sarmiento. 81 minutes into the match, chacarita juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Berganza came free, but Adriano Pappalardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Panama booed when chacarita juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kacper Trochowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adriano Pappalardo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Abraham Alguacil. After some careless play in the chacarita juniors defense, Abraham Alguacil kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adriano Pappalardo. The chacarita juniors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adriano Pappalardo should have stopped the shot. Isidoro Sarmiento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The chacarita juniors fans cheered their team off the field, for while Panama had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
