The Leiden Spor Kulubu fans' excitement grew in the 6th match minute when Leiden Spor Kulubu's Freek Som looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 8th match minute, Leiden Spor Kulubu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cosmin Toacsen to maneuver through the defense. Ricardo Zorita stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Freek Som's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Moises Fernandino managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Salvador's supporters rose to their feet, but Moises Fernandino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Harry Mik breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ricardo Zorita was a little too slow when Freek Som got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 15th minute. The score was now 2-0. Abram Luque's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Harry Mik read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. After 24 minutes, Hector Pello mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leiden Spor Kulubu and the El Salvador players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 24th match minute, Leiden Spor Kulubu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hector Pello to maneuver through the defense. Leiden Spor Kulubu's Harry Mik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moises Fernandino in the 25th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Freek Som ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ricardo Zorita was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. The supporters of El Salvador booed when Leiden Spor Kulubu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thijs Nijhof didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 40 minutes of play, Leiden Spor Kulubu's Cosmin Toacsen made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ricardo Zorita was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ricardo Zorita didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 44th minute, which inside left pole to 5-0.

After having played for 51 minutes, Folkert Engelaar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leiden Spor Kulubu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Folkert Engelaar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thijs Nijhof kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Iwan van Heiningen hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Mateo Leguizamo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Harry Mik having to make a save. If Cosmin Toacsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abram Luque got free with Harry Mik in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Marco Tamayo kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Marco Tamayo got a free kick in the 68th minute. When the match clock showed 71 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Freek Som sped through El Salvador's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damien Korfs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Folkert Engelaar took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hector Pello in the 83rd minute of play. After 91 played minutes El Salvador got a freekick which was hit by Jesus Carvallo. After having played for 92 minutes, Freek Som managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leiden Spor Kulubu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Freek Som was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ricardo Zorita didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Freek Som went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 9-0 was the resulting score. There was no doubt that Leiden Spor Kulubu were the better team. Leiden Spor Kulubu's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
