Panama's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Erwin Bienvenu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Zoltán Varga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Marcos Cotilla made a huge save. In the 14th minute Walmir Breckenfeld shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Cotilla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grigore Stoicu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Marcos Cotilla made a huge save. 16 minutes into the game, Gyál United's Zoltán Varga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcos Cotilla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Aaron Barrios lost his temper 19 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 19th minute of the game. One of Panama:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Gyál United:s goal. The referee gave Gyál United a penalty, 21 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Walmir Breckenfeld, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Panama's Marcos Cotilla. 3-0. With a little luck, Panama's Marcos Cotilla got control of the ball when Konstantinos Kroustallis tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 25 played minutes Gyál United got a freekick which was hit by Miklós Páncsics. Marcos Cotilla made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Erwin Bienvenu sent off a good shot on target. When Tomas Berganza came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Panama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Berganza couldn't finish the play. In the 37th minute, Konstantinos Kroustallis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gyál United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. 39 minutes into the game, Konstantinos Kroustallis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Marcos Cotilla was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Felipe Ros hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 6-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tomas Berganza was the one to do the kick off. After 51 minutes of play, Gyál United's Zoltán Varga made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcos Cotilla was left in no man's land by his defense there! 54 minutes into the match, Panama's Tomas Berganza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Horaţiu Petran narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 58 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Berganza. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Konstantinos Kroustallis put it in 8-0 from a short distance just to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Deivid Trigo, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Panama's Marcos Cotilla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Konstantinos Kroustallis in the 65th minute of play. Marcos Cotilla came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Gyál United's Konstantinos Kroustallis. But to his dismay, Konstantinos Kroustallis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walmir Breckenfeld in the 68th minute of play forced Panama's goalkeeper Marcos Cotilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 69 played minutes Panama got a freekick which was hit by Felipe Ros. Marcos Cotilla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erwin Bienvenu, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. In the 81st minute, Konstantinos Kroustallis made a precise shot to the right of Marcos Cotilla. Panama's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 11-0. Marcos Cotilla stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erwin Bienvenu's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Panama's Tomas Berganza got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Tomas Berganza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcos Cotilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erwin Bienvenu in the 89th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute, Miklós Páncsics hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Horaţiu Petran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Berganza in the 92nd minute of the match. Marcos Cotilla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zoltán Varga in the 94th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zoltán Varga in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcos Cotilla prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zoltán Varga spun around in front of the goal 94 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Panama's goal. There was no doubt that Gyál United were the better team. Gyál United's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
