Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Germano Mandrak in the 22nd minute of play. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Neymar Joinvilense tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tomas Illescas struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Joaquim Amaral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Venezuela. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Rigoberto Mina got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Joinville City - FSCMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Venezuela the free kick. In the 52nd match minute, Joinville City - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aníbal Paulista to maneuver through the defense. Luiz Hermes kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Tomas Illescas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Joaquim Amaral made a huge save. The Joinville City - FSCMZ fans cheered their team off the field, for while Venezuela had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
