Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Belotaurus FC's Silviu Novac started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Mancebo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fanis Geronimidis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dario Strazzabosco hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Fanis Geronimidis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fanis Geronimidis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Mexico's Joel Gaona was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Fanis Geronimidis in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 15th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fanis Geronimidis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 18 minutes had been played when some careless play by Belotaurus FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. 21 minutes into the match, Lautaro Mancebo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fanis Geronimidis. Belotaurus FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lautaro Mancebo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 26 played minutes Belotaurus FC got a freekick which was hit by Dario Strazzabosco. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th of the match, Silviu Novac tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Dante Lacasa got in the way and made a wonderful save. In the 32ndth minute of the game Lautaro Mancebo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Belotaurus FC's Fanis Geronimidis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lautaro Mancebo struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Fanis Geronimidis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. 39 minutes into the match, Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Evren Yezid. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Fanis Geronimidis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Evren Yezid sent off a good shot on target. With 47 minutes on the clock, Luca Rouco commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 46 minutes into the game, one of Mexico:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Dante Lacasa, was totally fooled by Belotaurus FC's Erivaldo Perez, who 48 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lautaro Mancebo to strike the kick off in the second half. A hard shot 53 in the game by Lautaro Mancebo from a close distance when the talented Fanis Geronimidis managed to make a qualified save. Belotaurus FC's players were relieved. Through an outstanding action, after 57 minutes, Fanis Geronimidis successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Lautaro Mancebo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fanis Geronimidis having to interfere. Thanks to some nice moves Lautaro Mancebo could shoot a difficult shot in the 63rd minute, which Fanis Geronimidis however easily saved by the left post. Fanis Geronimidis came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Luca Zorita. But to his dismay, Luca Zorita quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. In the 75th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. Joel Gaona made a great header on Mexico's corner, it was just that Belotaurus FC's Fanis Geronimidis managed to reach the ball for a save. Lautaro Mancebo in the 77thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fanis Geronimidis, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Lautaro Mancebo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Fanis Geronimidis made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lautaro Mancebo got free with Fanis Geronimidis in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silviu Novac in the 83rd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute of the match Belotaurus FC got a corner. Mexico's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Erivaldo Perez ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Belotaurus FC's corner Erivaldo Perez fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dante Lacasa quite easily take care of the ball. In the 88th minute of the match, Lautaro Mancebo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fanis Geronimidis was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Facundo Cadaval's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fanis Geronimidis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. Doni Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dante Lacasa having to interfere. Mexico's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
