Astor Odon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stamen Tekeliev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 22 minutes, Damazy Joks managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KS Olimpia Warszawa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damazy Joks was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stamen Tekeliev blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Astor Odon having to make a save. Astor Odon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stamen Tekeliev, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After a rather tough play, Playa Malvín's Jabier Igual got a free kick in the 29th minute. Damazy Joks might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zé Roberto Teixeira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Damazy Joks ran back to his position shaking his head. Zé Roberto Teixeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damazy Joks, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Damazy Joks in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé Roberto Teixeira saved Playa Malvín from getting behind. Walery Glapiak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Roberto Teixeira having to interfere. The supporters of Playa Malvín booed when KS Olimpia Warszawa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hektor Fitrakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Damazy Joks made a kick off. With a little luck, Playa Malvín's Zé Roberto Teixeira got control of the ball when Piotr Kawa tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the KS Olimpia Warszawa defense, Stamen Tekeliev kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Astor Odon. The KS Olimpia Warszawa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Astor Odon should have stopped the shot. Zé Roberto Teixeira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Damazy Joks went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 60thth minute of the game Stamen Tekeliev who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KS Olimpia Warszawa's Astor Odon was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Zé Roberto Teixeira was a little too slow when Damazy Joks got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 65th minute. The score was now 1-2. Playa Malvín's Quinto Ampudia was substituted for Stamen Tekeliev. Playa Malvín's Josu Onez was substituted for Jabier Igual. KS Olimpia Warszawa's Emilio Sesse managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Sesuldo Roque in the 73 minute of the game. In the 74th minute of the game Gonzalo Castro made a throw-in which Constantijn De Hond played forward. 83 minutes into the game, Damazy Joks cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Zé Roberto Teixeira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Playa Malvín's Vladimiro Marquez quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Emilio Sesse, made in the 92nd minute of the game. The KS Olimpia Warszawa supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing KS Olimpia Warszawa would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
