The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The attack was good, but when Emanuel Stroescu in the 6th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 8 minutes into the match, F.C. Valinor's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Stroescu came free, but Zacarias Portugal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Taveira hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. After 22 minutes of play, Holy Cross Mountains's Horea Decuseară made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Zacarias Portugal was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 25th minute Horea Decuseară shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zacarias Portugal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Almiro Poças fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored F.C. Valinor's protests and gave Almiro Poças a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th minute, Almiro Poças hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the F.C. Valinor defense, Horea Decuseară kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zacarias Portugal. The F.C. Valinor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zacarias Portugal should have stopped the shot. 32 minutes into the game, Holy Cross Mountains's Emanuel Stroescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zacarias Portugal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. After 35 played minutes F.C. Valinor got a freekick which was hit by Guilherme Leão. In the 36th minute, 柯翔峰 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zacarias Portugal was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. F.C. Valinor's Zacarias Portugal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuel Stroescu in the 41st minute of play. After some careless play in the F.C. Valinor defense, Horea Decuseară kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zacarias Portugal. The F.C. Valinor fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zacarias Portugal should have stopped the shot. In the 47th minute, Horea Decuseară made a precise shot to the right of Zacarias Portugal. F.C. Valinor's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-8. Disappointed in the 0-8 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Laureano Malheiro to make the kick off. Franz Stonehouse hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. 59 minutes into the game, Holy Cross Mountains's Horea Decuseară nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zacarias Portugal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-10. The crowd rose to their feet as Holy Cross Mountains's Emanuel Stroescu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zacarias Portugal. That made the score 0-11 after 62 minutes of play. Zacarias Portugal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reynaldo Mede in the 66th minute of the match. In the 67th minute, Horea Decuseară left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Holy Cross Mountains fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-12. Zacarias Portugal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Stroescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when 柯翔峰 got free with Zacarias Portugal in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 76 minutes into the match, F.C. Valinor's goal looked a bit too open when Horea Decuseară came free, but Zacarias Portugal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Stroescu in the 77th minute of play forced F.C. Valinor's goalkeeper Zacarias Portugal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 78th minute, one of F.C. Valinor:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for F.C. Valinor. The referee gave Holy Cross Mountains a penalty, 80 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Emanuel Stroescu, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of F.C. Valinor's Zacarias Portugal. 0-13. 83 minutes into the game, Horea Decuseară cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-14. Zacarias Portugal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 88 minutes into the game, Horea Decuseară recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Zacarias Portugal. Horea Decuseară showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-15. Vladimiro Vilar charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vladimiro Vilar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Zacarias Portugal made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Horea Decuseară sent off a good shot on target. In the 93rd minute, Jacinto Tomé hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zacarias Portugal made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Emanuel Stroescu sent off a good shot on target. Zacarias Portugal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horea Decuseară in the 96th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Holy Cross Mountains left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than F.C. Valinor.
