Despite this Wachirapong Wattanachinda quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 66 minutes into the game, Tiaguinho Mandrak was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Clube do Remo MZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. In the 68th minute, Kang Cheng Ao hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wachirapong Wattanachinda made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 70th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baal Grunberg in the 72nd minute of play. 73 minutes into the game, Kang Cheng Ao was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Clube do Remo MZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Didi Mello didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baal Grunberg charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Baal Grunberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Clube do Remo MZ throughout the match.
