In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Utopía Muerta FC's goalkeeper Mano Hume, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 19 minutes Utopía Muerta FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bernardino Gonsalve who took care of the corner kick. 21 minutes into the match, C.A.Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Arkadiusz Piatek came free, but Buford Lim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mano Hume stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tom Misaki's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Utopía Muerta FC's Mano Hume proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Utopía Muerta FC from getting a goal against them. Bernardino Gonsalve might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mano Hume. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernardino Gonsalve ran back to his position shaking his head. Utopía Muerta FC's Mano Hume played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heigo Luiga in the 36th minute of play. Buford Lim came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Utopía Muerta FC's Arkadiusz Piatek. But to his dismay, Arkadiusz Piatek quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Heigo Luiga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arkadiusz Piatek might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Buford Lim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arkadiusz Piatek ran back to his position shaking his head. Arkadiusz Piatek could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Buford Lim made a huge save. In the 59th minute, Tom Misaki ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mano Hume was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After 63 played minutes C.A.Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Bernardino Gonsalve. After 64 played minutes, Utopía Muerta FC's Uriel Santiago shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Buford Lim came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Utopía Muerta FC reached it. Severo Bermudo scored 2-2 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Buford Lim, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Utopía Muerta FC's Mano Hume played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Øyvind Rovik in the 76th minute of play. Ildefonso Abalos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Buford Lim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Buford Lim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Uriel Santiago in the 79th minute. After 84 played minutes C.A.Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Heigo Luiga. The audience thought a goal was coming when Braulio Hibai got free with Buford Lim in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Braulio Hibai took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Buford Lim to make any attempt to save it. Through an outstanding action, after 91 minutes, Buford Lim successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Buford Lim made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Severo Bermudo sent off a good shot on target. Mano Hume showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tom Misaki in the 95th minute of the match. The Utopía Muerta FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
