In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sporting de Gij贸n's goalkeeper 脫scar Cordoba, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amir Lee in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg 脫scar Cordoba saved Sporting de Gij贸n from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Waldo Renteria in the 15th minute of play forced Sporting de Gij贸n's goalkeeper 脫scar Cordoba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alejandro Rufo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 脫scar Cordoba showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amir Lee, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. A collision led to Sporting de Gij贸n getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Venancio Emesto hit a great ball. The supporters of Sporting de Gij贸n booed when Cascade Park West was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolland Hobbs didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dario Wilhelm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Maradona, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Dario Wilhelm was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Matias Bilintx showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 32 minute of play. Matias Bilintx could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Dario Wilhelm made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Allen Dalton in the 42nd minute of play forced Sporting de Gij贸n's goalkeeper 脫scar Cordoba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amir Lee fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 脫scar Cordoba having to interfere. Alejandro Rufo hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. 脫scar Cordoba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldo Renteria in the 47th minute of play.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Matias Bilintx stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Amir Lee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 57 played minutes Cascade Park West got a freekick which was hit by Allen Dalton. Sporting de Gij贸n made a substitution. Mario Zanabria replaced Alejandro Rufo. In the 57th minute, Allen Dalton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dario Wilhelm came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting de Gij贸n's Diego Maradona. But to his dismay, Diego Maradona quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 63rd minute, Waldo Renteria reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of 脫scar Cordoba. The goal made the score 2-2. Sporting de Gij贸n's Saturnino Curcio was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dario Wilhelm in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 75 minutes of play, Cascade Park West's Amir Lee made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. 脫scar Cordoba was left in no man's land by his defense there! Elpidio Bixintxo hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Cascade Park West made a substitution. Wang Sha Qian replaced Amir Lee. In the 80th match minute, Sporting de Gij贸n was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elpidio Bixintxo to maneuver through the defense. In the 82nd minute Elpidio Bixintxo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dario Wilhelm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, Cascade Park West's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Maradona came free, but Dario Wilhelm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Wang Sha Qian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cascade Park West made a substitution.
