A nice corner shot did that Esteban Iztal got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Atahan Balon quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Atahan Balon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elpidio Francis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Branislav Velchevski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ricardo-Enrique Bochini went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Branislav Velchevski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo-Enrique Bochini in the 32nd minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, André Monclús dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Atahan Balon, 3-1. 38 minutes into the match, Los Muchachos del 86's goal looked a bit too open when Elpidio Francis came free, but Atahan Balon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 40 in the game by André Monclús from a close distance when the talented Atahan Balon managed to make a qualified save. Los Muchachos del 86's players were relieved. After 42 minutes, Elpidio Francis made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Los Muchachos del 86's Atahan Balon tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Saverio Brion to make the kick off. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Elpidio Francis put it in 5-1 from a short distance just to the right of Atahan Balon. After having played for 56 minutes, Elpidio Francis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elpidio Francis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's Aristides Asteri was substituted for Arnaldo Gabon. The supporters of ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA booed when Los Muchachos del 86 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 71st minute, Aristides Asteri ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Atahan Balon was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. Los Muchachos del 86's Fabio Bencivenni was substituted for Ricardo-Enrique Bochini. Atahan Balon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elpidio Francis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Los Muchachos del 86's Atahan Balon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristides Asteri in the 78th minute of play. In the 89th minute Elpidio Francis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atahan Balon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute Damian Honesto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Branislav Velchevski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elpidio Francis in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Atahan Balon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA booed when Los Muchachos del 86 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Flavio Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atahan Balon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elpidio Francis in the 96th minute of play. ESTUDIANTES de la PLATA's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
